Seafood Bouillabaisse Recipe

Seafood Bouillabaisse is the answer if you are in the mood for an elevated comfort food dish. This healthy and easy French classic only takes 30 minutes to prepare.

Here’s what you’ll need.


  • 1/2 cup of white wine
  • 1 tsp of Better than Bouillon base chicken base
  • 1 cup leeks, sliced
  • 1 can of stewed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, chopped
  • Finely chop a few sprigs of fresh Italian parsley 
  • 1/2 tablespoon Italian seasoning Mix
  • Sea Salt and pepper
  • 1 pound of shrimp
  • 2 pieces of sockeye salmon or Atlantic salmon
  • 1-2 tablespoons of capers
  • 1/2 can of cannellini beans
  • Olive oil
  • Optional – Add 1/2 lb. of large scallops for some extra seafood yum!


Step 1: In a sauté pan drizzle olive oil and sauté garlic and leeks for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.

Step 2: Add wine, chicken base, can of tomatoes, and seasoning mix and stir—season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Add the fish and beans. Cook for 8 minutes.

Step 4: Add the shrimp and cook for 6 minutes or until pink and not overcooked. Season with salt and pepper again to taste.  

Serve with Salad and whole wheat baguette. If you are looking for a carb-less meal skip the bread.
